MY EXPERIENCE IN THE BUSH WITH MY ABDUCTORS

David Cliq gives an exclusive story on his experience when he was kidnapped.

David Udenna (David Cliq) and another student of FUOtuoke Nwogu Chidioto (Mp) were kidnapped on their way to Owerri, the state capital of Imo state. Unfortunately they were kidnapped by men of the underworld

Read below Cliq’s personal experience:

Its quite a long narration but basically, I was on my way to Owerri to see a friend. I boarded a public vehicle (Sienna) and we started the journey.

It started raining. When we were getting close to Owerri, after Elele in PH, we were attacked. At first we thought they were the police because they were dressed like one.

But eventually it was a disguise. We were forced to come out. During that process, I hid my phone in the car not knowing what might happen next. We were forced down a bush path at gun point. We were initially 8 victims that were taken into the bush.

One of the victims looked pregnant and the kidnappers asked and she agreed. They pitied her and let her go. While in the bush we were asked to get up after day break and we were blindfolded and forced to sit. The ladies were given food and water but the boys got nothing.

Later that afternoon we were asked to make contacts to our loved ones. Everyone started making contacts. But none of the responses got up to 500K and they were requesting for 5 million naira each. With this, we were seriously flogged with the back of a cutlass and canes gotten from the forest.

We slept on the ground for the two days, we were guests to soldier ants, maggots and other creeping insects.

Eventually by 12am we heard a gunshot and all the kidnappers close to us ran away. It was the police!
They went after them and could get only three out of Eight.

We were rescued and carried to the police station and no ransom was paid..

Through out the period we were with the abductors, I was hopeful and a little scared. I just believed something positive would happen and I am happy I came out alive, unhurt and without paying any ransom.
